Hi. I am Doug McCleary. I have been officiating Funeral and Memorial services for 34 years.
It has been my life's work and vocation since 2002.
I began as a Presbyterian Minister in the 1990's. After nearly a decade as a Pastor, life led in a new direction, and I began my focus on Funerals, Memorials, and the occasional Wedding. These celebrations of life were my favorite part of parish ministry, and I seemed to be made for this work.
I am no longer "religious" in any traditional way, but have a deep natural compassion and empathy for those experiencing loss, and a joyful happiness for those making the commitment of marriage. If I were asked for a label, I'd say I am a "Humanist Celebrant." I am comfortable with expressions of faith, but equally comfortable without.
